Konak Square and İzmir Clock Tower: İzmir Clock Tower is a historic clock tower located at the Konak Square in Konak district of İzmir Turkey. It is also one of the most famous places and the symbol of İzmir. Then you see this clock tower you will feel that you are in İzmir. People in Izmir usually meet here and make shopping.The clock tower was designed by the Levantine French architect Raymond Charles Père and built in 1901 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Abdülhamid II's (reigned 1876–1909) accession to the throne. The clock itself was a gift of German Emperor Wilhelm II (reigned 1888–1918). It is decorated in an elaborate Ottoman architecture. The tower, at a height of 25 m (82 ft), features four fountains, which are placed around the base in a circular pattern, and the columns are inspired by North African themes. The clock tower was depicted on the reverse of the Turkish 500 lira banknotes of 1983-1989. In the former Balkan provinces of the Ottoman Empire, particularly in present-day Serbian, Bosnian and Montenegrin towns such as Belgrade, Prijepolje, Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Gradacac and Stara Varoš, similar Ottoman era clock towers are still named Sahat Kula (deriving from the Turkish words Saat Kulesi, meaning Clock Tower.) 

 İzmir Alsancak: Alsancak is the centre of shopping and fantastic cafes. There are modern buildings and attractive shops along the street and many people prefer to go there for shopping. Shops and cafes are located in streets and they are far from the main street, so people are not disturbed by the traffic. Alsancak is the place that the teenagers prefer to go. Because there are lots of fantastic cafes and these cafes have delicious foods. Also, Hilton hotel is located in this neighboorhood and it's game centre is prefered by most of the teenagers. Also, you can see adults who are playing game in this game centre. It is a place for having fun and people from every age can have fun there.  

 Izmir Kordon: It is located between Konak Square and Alsancak. It becomes one of the most crowded places at the weekends. Especially young people prefer to go there because there are bars and some places for shopping.Kordon is also famous with it's horse-drawn phaetons with colorful ponpons and young lovers loves to wander with them.Kordon is very famous that there are lots of songs that are written for Kordon

 Izmir Agora:  The Agora, where many relics were exhibited, became the heart of social life in the 4th century BC. The Agora, which is especially prevalent with its basilica, is a cultural tourism center worth visiting. Agora is the center for arts, trade and philosopy.

 Izmir International Fair: Izmir International Fair, one of the oldest fairs in Turkey, has hundreds of participants from different sectors; is a great exhibit, especially of developing technology. The Izmir International Fair, which opened every year in September, continues to attract a lot of attention. If you are visiting Izmir, if your accommodation date corresponds to the time of the fair, it is definitely an activity you should see.
